Tony Awards 2026: ‘The Lost Boys’ e ‘Schmigadoon!’ dominam as indicações; veja a lista completa

O palco está montado para a noite mais importante do teatro mundial. As indicações para o 79º Tony Awards foram anunciadas nesta terça-feira (5), e a disputa de 2026 promete ser uma das mais equilibradas dos últimos anos. As superproduções “The Lost Boys” e “Schmigadoon!” dividiram a liderança, arrebatando 12 indicações cada. Logo atrás, o aclamado revival de “Ragtime” provou sua força com 11 nomeações, confirmando que a temporada atual não possui um favorito absoluto e isolado.

Nas categorias de peças de teatro (não musicais), o destaque ficou por conta da radical reimaginação de “Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman” (A Morte do Caixeiro Viajante), que conquistou impressionantes 9 indicações. A produção marca não apenas um triunfo criativo, mas também o controverso retorno do produtor Scott Rudin à Broadway, após se afastar em 2021 devido a múltiplas alegações de comportamento abusivo. Além de Salesman, Rudin também está por trás de “Little Bear Ridge Road”, indicada a Melhor Peça.

Recordes históricos, surpresas e os esnobados

A lista deste ano trouxe marcos impressionantes. A veterana June Squibb quebrou recordes ao se tornar, aos 96 anos, a atriz mais velha a ser indicada na história do Tony, concorrendo como Atriz Coadjuvante pela peça “Marjorie Prime”. Na mesma obra, o ator Danny Burstein conquistou sua 9ª indicação na carreira, quebrando um recorde de 47 anos e se tornando o artista masculino mais indicado da história da premiação.

A temporada também trouxe feitos raros: Rose Byrne (“Fallen Angels”) se tornou a 17ª mulher na história a conseguir indicações ao Tony e ao Oscar no mesmo ano civil. O astro Daniel Radcliffe também garantiu sua vaga por sua aclamada performance no monólogo “Every Brilliant Thing”. Por outro lado, a maior decepção e “esnobada” do ano ficou para Lea Michele. A estrela de Glee era amplamente cotada para receber sua primeira indicação ao Tony pelo papel principal no revival de “Chess”, mas acabou ficando de fora da lista final.

A cerimônia do 79º Tony Awards será realizada no lendário Radio City Music Hall, em Nova York, no dia 7 de junho de 2026. A premiação será apresentada pela cantora Pink, vencedora do Grammy, e terá transmissão ao vivo pela rede CBS e pelo serviço de streaming Paramount+.
